Millen Noni, a geologist and drone engineer from Taita Taveta is passionate about minerals and the application of mineral drone mapping. She woke up one morning and looked around. Her neighbor on the left was a male miner, on the right was a male miner. She realized that this field was dominated by men. She got angry and decided that she is going to recruit as many women as were willing to joining the mining industry, this the dream of Taita Taveta Women miners was born.
Millen started an initial inner core group from her High school alumni who then reached out to other Taita Taveta Women.
